More from K. D. Macwan

September 14, 2024 by K. D. Macwan (Gujarat, India)

When I wrote this meditation and sent it to the Upper Room editorial team, the drumstick moringa plant was thriving. I had also shared a photo of it via email. Unfortunately, a few days later, a cow came and ate the entire plant, which made me very sad. Until the next monsoon, the plant didn't regrow, but with the arrival of the rains, it started to sprout green leaves again. Seeing it flourish brought me great joy, and this has been happening consistently for the past two years. My wife, Sushma, has been diligently working to protect the plant.

This experience reminds us that God is patient and gives us multiple chances. I hope that one day the plant will grow into a tree.
